1. Overview

Pasty ("we", "our", or "the app") is a clipboard manager for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Pasty is designed to work entirely on-device — your clipboard data never leaves your iPhone.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Pasty does not collect, store on remote servers, or transmit:

• Your clipboard contents (text, links, images, PDFs)
• Personal identification information
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers
• Contacts or any other personal data

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All clipboard items you save in Pasty are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is:

• Stored in an App Group container shared between Pasty, the keyboard extension, and the widget
• Backed up via iCloud if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device
• Completely deleted when you uninstall the app
• Never accessible to us or any third party

4. Clipboard Access

Pasty accesses your clipboard only when you explicitly tap the Paste button within the app. The app does not read your clipboard in the background without your action.

iOS may display a notification banner when any app accesses the clipboard. You can grant permanent clipboard access to Pasty in Settings → Pasty → Paste from Other Apps → Allow.

5. On-Device OCR

Pasty uses Apple's Vision framework to extract text from images you save (OCR). This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning. No image data is sent to any server.

6. In-App Purchases

Pasty offers a one-time "Pro" upgrade through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to all transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy

7. Third-Party Services

Pasty does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:

• Firebase, Crashlytics, or similar analytics
• Advertising networks
• Social media SDKs
• Any external APIs that receive your data

8. Children's Privacy

Pasty does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no age-restricted content and is safe for all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
